Hazel cast8/15/2023 ![]() ![]() Hazel and Steve persuade the bee farm owner to testify on Steve's behalf, after advising him that this guy could also try to sue the apiary owner for a few bee stings that he received while there. Fillmore is troubled by this, but she agrees to hear both sides of the story. When she arrives, however, she sees Steve literally trying to throw the insurance fraudster out the door. Fillmore first heard Steve's excuse for being late, she was very impressed by his kindness to strangers and decided to visit Steve at his house. Which Steve didn't do, but as the honey moocher says, that's a pretty "lonely road" out there and it's "your word against mine." She also unfortunately starts talking about how her friend got a large insurance settlement from an accident lawsuit, and the honey moocher decides that he's going to sue Steve for forcing him off the road. ![]() She bandages his forehead and lets him soak his possibly sprained ankle in ice water, and she gives him some blueberry pie. Fillmore.īecause the guy who had the accident doesn't want to pay to go to a doctor, Steve lets Hazel take a look at him. Steve stops to see if the guy is okay, and since no good deed goes unpunished, he ends up driving him back to town for medical care and misses his appointment with Mrs. Steve drives up and speaks to the owner for a moment, and then he sees how the moocher drove his car into a tree. ![]() The moocher finally leaves but then the owner hears a car crashing. He decides to take a shortcut at the apiary, which is a bee farm on the edge of town where honey is sold.īefore Steve reaches the bee farm, an annoyingly shifty guy is already there mooching free honey samples from the owner. Fillmore, wants him at her house in twenty minutes, and since she lives out in the country, he has to leave right away. She's predicting some kind of trouble for him, but when he gets an offer to possibly handle a wealthy woman's property sale, he laughs and says that's just the kind of bad luck I need. And pictured above is Hazel sneaking into the He-Man Women Haters' Club.īee in Her Bonnet is from the fifth season of Hazel (March 1966) and starts off with Hazel reading tea leaves at the bottom of a cup.but Steve's tea leaves don't look good. Interesting note: it looks like Hazel was driving a snazzy red Mustang convertible when she went in search of Harry. In the end, Harry and Deirdre decide to compromise, with Harry willingly taking the VP job after he and Deirdre enjoy a six week Polynesian cruise. He thinks she's going to serve him with divorce papers but she instead has two tickets to paradise, a/k/a Bora Bora, purchased by Deirdre. The male members are all very agitated that a female is on the premises, so Harry hustles Hazel outside. Hazel then sneaks through the back way, hurries past the laundry area, interrupts someone's steam bath, then ends up in the poker lounge. Hazel then goes to the club to let Harry know how his wife feels, but she's turned away at the entrance because it's 1964 and the club is men only. Hazel (who really owes Deirdre nothing after Deirdre's years of uppity behavior towards her) intercedes and gets Deirdre to admit that she loves Harry so much, she'd even follow him to Bora Bora. She's truly depressed and in disbelief, and she regrets being so domineering towards Harry. Harry retreats to his men's club downtown while Deirdre stays with the Baxters. Deirdre is shocked that Harry actually stood up to her, and she's also overwhelmed at the thought of being on her own. ![]() Harry further admits that he had planned to retire in a few years and enjoy a more free-spirited life in Bora Bora, which he remembers fondly from his WWII service.ĭeirdre starts to ridicule Harry's South Sea dreams and tells him to "stop this nonsense." (Let's just note that Deirdre by nature is fairly overbearing, snobbish, and focused on Deirdre.) The fight escalates to the point that Harry says he's decided to take an early retirement and leave for Bora Bora now, and that he'll arrange for Deirdre to have enough money to live on while he's gone. But Harry doesn't seem thrilled about becoming a VP, and he also seems troubled about not being able to travel on business and get away from Deirdre periodically. Harry's going to be Vice President of his company's head office, which means he'll be in town much more often. Hazel Squares the Triangle is from the show's fourth season (December 1964), and begins with George's sister, Deirdre, gloating about her husband Harry's new promotion. This isn't an episode about Hazel helping Harold with his algebra homework.but instead how our favorite maid tries to keep a marriage from ending. ![]()
